Friends of NISO
The mission of the Friends of the Symphony is to serve the orchestra by doing a variety of voluntary duties and funding the orchestra’s Student Scholarship Program.
Who are the Friends?
*Friends are music lovers of all ages.
*Friends volunteer their time to serve the Northwest Iowa Symphony Orchestra in a variety of ways.
*Friends help raise funds for the Student Scholarship Program.
*The Friends’ work benefits both the audience and the musicians.
Why become a Friend?
By becoming a Friend you gain the satisfaction of helping an exceptional area orchestra grow and thrive. Friends are also able to enjoy the company and camaraderie of others who enthusiastically support the orchestra.
Opportunities to Serve.
If you are interested in becoming a Friend of the Symphony, here is a list of opportunities for you to serve. Please call the NISO office at 712-722-6230 with your two top choices.
_____Supply/Serve snacks at one NISO rehearsal. (Monday evening)
_____Provide cookies for a NISO rehearsal
_____Usher at the Fall Children’s Concert.
_____Take tickets and hand out programs at a season concert.
_____Sell concert tickets at the door.
_____Sell coffee ad truffles at a concert.
_____Learn to make and then donate truffles at a concert.
_____Plan and/or help with the June garden tour. (NOT taking place in Summer 2019)
_____Serve as a Friend of the Symphony fund-raising board member.
